Reverend Richard has been an ordained minister in Unity Worldwide Ministries since 2004 and has served in Unity churches in Phoenix and Seattle and as Senior Minister for Transform Myself Inc., an alternative Unity ministry.

Reverend Richard is a sought-after speaker and teacher in Unity Churches throughout the US, particularly on topics related to death, dying and grief. He is on the teaching faculty of Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute and Unity Ministerial Seminary, where he has presented classes such as “Grief and Bereavement” and “Ministry at the End of Life” for spiritual leaders. In addition, Reverend Richard has co-hosted the Unity podcast “The Healing Power of Grief” and conducted many virtual “Death Cafés” and “Dialogues on Death and Dying.”

In addition to his ministerial career, Reverend Richard has over 45 years of service in the health care industry and more than 25 years of leadership in the post-acute care arena, including home health, private duty, infusion, and hospice.

Since becoming our Minister in 2020, Reverend Richard has pioneered a virtual ministry at Unity of Davis. Under his leadership, UOD enjoys a wide-reaching congregation, with attendees from across US and around the world. He brings guest speakers who are widely recognized spiritual thought leaders and talented guest musicians from the Unity movement and beyond. Reverend Richard values a wide range of opportunities to participate in and take action through our ministry. Classes, both online and in-person, feature leading spiritual teachers and our diverse volunteer teams ensure congregants’ needs are met through out Pastoral Care, Men’s Spiritual Prosperity, EarthCare, Engagement, Events, and Tithing Teams, among others.

UOD Board member Harry Ohlendorf says of our minister, “Reverend Richard Is very innovative in his ways of bringing the spiritual teachings of different religions to our everyday lives. His outgoing manner brings us together and engages us with the broader community and the world we live in, as he ‘keeps the high watch’ for Unity of Davis.”

Reverend Richard says, “Over 25 years ago I found Unity, and it opened my heart. Unity is a Christ-like approach to Positive Spirituality, and we believe that you truly have the power to co-create your life with the Universe. We live in an era where we can change ourselves, the world, and the planet through these Principles.”

David Tralle is an Intuitive Healing Music Artist who has served over 20 years as a Unity/New Thought musician. His soothing keyboard soundscapes treat the listener to the rich acoustical sounds of piano, strings, wind and gentle percussion instruments offering rest and relaxation. David’s love of humanity and internal drive to effect positive change is felt throughout his music. His passion and interest with current developments in sound/music healing makes him a dynamic and informative speaker.

David says of his music and Unity of Davis, "It has truly been a great fountain of life blessings to have witnessed and to have been a part of this loving, compassionate and inclusive spiritual community we call the Unity of Davis. Since it’s very beginnings I have been privileged to share and use my musical skills in support of our Sunday’s services and other events when called upon. My life has been infinitely blessed by the love and support of this wonderful community. Music has been lifelong for me. Though I hold no advanced degree in the field of music I began my piano instruction at the age of 8, had a band at 14 doing high school dances and did all the bars one would ever want to do. Having somehow survived my youth and young adulthood I came to discover a much greater and deeper power within the gift that music is to humanity. Music is so much more than entertainment. Music’s power to transform and heal us, it’s ability to emotionally move us and its universal power to bring us together as one continues to inspire me. Thank you all for this wonderful opportunity to serve."

Bob McEvoy first came to Unity of Davis for the Melting Bowl Ceremony on the last Sunday of 2019. He was visiting from Idaho and was delighted to find this wonderful spiritual community thriving in Davis. He wanted to take the whole congregation back to his home in Coeur d’Alene, but that day’s guest speaker, Rev. Rich Carlini, said he must leave them in place. Fortunately, Covid-19 struck, and he responded to a request to help with the online Zoom process and learn video editing. That was four years ago, and he has been an active participant ever since. Check out the You Tube videos Bob produces for Unity of Davis each week – there are 200 of them.

Bob actually was born in New York City and grew up across the river in New Jersey. After completing a Masters in Fine Arts from Northwestern University outside Chicago, he decided to do something with which he could actually make a living. His parents were thrilled. He joined the Marriott corporation as a night auditor. They liked his work and sent him to be the night supervisor of a new hotel in Portland, Oregon. He moved there in the wake of a volcanic eruption (remember Mt. St. Helens?). His parents were not thrilled. After a year, and tired of the graveyard shift (and volcanic ash in his teeth), he moved to San Francisco. There he spent four years in the accounting department of the Hyatt Regency. His parents were delighted…especially when they visited and got a comp suite for their vacation in far-away California. Bob spent his last five years in the area working as the in-house bookkeeper for Sugarman & Company, a CPA firm in the Transamerica Period. They taught him a whole bunch about accounting. His dad, a life-long accountant, was pleased.

1996 found Bob moving to the picturesque Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho, about an hour’s drive from Canada. Local signage actually says, “Turn left for Canada.” It was here that he became part of the Unity Church of North Idaho where he did the bookkeeping for nine years.

Bob spent the last twelve years of his career running the accounting and admin departments for a small construction company before he retired full time in 2018. Bob describes himself as a basically boring person (anyone who hears him do the Sunday announcements knows otherwise!) who still does volunteer work for local non-profit organizations. And now, he does it for the Unity of Davis community who befriended him with an online social life four years ago. Apparently, that in-person Melting Bowl Ceremony was, for Bob, a great success.
