Membership

Unity Center of Davis offers two Membership tiers:
1. Community membership

If you have been attending UCOD regularly and consider it your spiritual home, you have an opportunity to deepen your relationship by becoming a community member.

Community membership is for those who are ready to make an express commitment to actively support the mission of this community through positive thought, compassionate communication, financial giving and sacred service.

Requirements for Community Membership:

1.  Complete Membership Application
2.  Read, support and sign Covenant of Membership
3.  Attend Membership Orientation (offered 2-3 times per year)

February 20, 2010
10 am - 12 pm
Vets Center - Game Room



2.  Voting Membership

For those who want to deepen their commitment and understanding of Unity's principles and practices, its core values, leading to the capacity and privilege of voting on community matters (such as annual election of board positions, approval of major purchases and decisions)

In order to be an informed stakeholder of Unity Center of Davis the following criteria are considered foundational to a congregant’s  capacity to be a voting member of the church:

·Understand and support the mission, vision and core values of UCOD;
·Align with Unity principles;
·understand the organization’s structure, its responsibilities and challenges;
·understand and live the prosperity teachings of Unity, including the value of conscious  giving and sacred service;
·Familiar and committed to the ways of peaceful communication and relationships, using peace based principles of addressing issues and concerns within the church and with others.

In order to develop these capacities and skills, the following steps are requirements to become a voting member of Unity Center of Davis:

Requirements to become a Voting Member of UCOD:

1.  Successfully complete Practical Spirituality class (offered twice a year)
2.  Complete Membership Application
3.  Read, support and sign Covenant of Membership
4.  Attend Membership Orientation (offered 2-3 times per year)
